If you get a flat on the M4
- Between Pitt Street, Parramatta and Mulgoa Road, Penrith, the M4 has extra breakdown bays and emergency phones. Stop in one if you can, or in the emergency stopping lane, and switch on your hazard lights.
- East of Parramatta the M4 becomes the WestConnex toll road. There, use an emergency phone or call Linkt on 13 33 31.
- Stay in the car with your seatbelt on. If you have to get out, use the side away from the traffic and wait behind a safety barrier if it is safe to.
- You can report the breakdown on the Incident Reporting Line, 131 700, 24 hours a day. If anyone is hurt, call 000.
- Once you and the car are safe, call us with exactly where it is: the road, the direction you were travelling and the nearest exit.

Can my tyre be repaired, or does it need replacing?
It can usually be repaired if it has not been driven on while flat, the damage is in the tread rather than the sidewall or shoulder, and the hole is no larger than 6mm. If not, we replace it on the spot with your size on the van.
